I sat in bed for 45 minutes yesterday, waiting for my wife to wake up. A friend had sent me an article announcing David Bowie’s death a few hours before, and having enough trouble processing it myself, I had no idea how to break the news to her.

He was our Hero. He was an idol and an inspiration, the Starman and the Goblin King!
He was the voice for everyone that hadn’t yet found one for themselves, and on January 10, 2016 he simply was…

For the first time, we were forced to use his name in past-tense.
I still don’t like the way it sounds, and I’m sure I never will, but today we celebrate the style of an artist that was truly authentic.

And good god, did that man ever have Style!
