American Dream Pop duo Beach House have infiltrated my Discover Weekly playlists on Spotify, sending me down a rabbit hole of ambient, ethereal, chill-out tracks for days now.  Not since I first discovered Godspeed You! Black Emperor have I felt so drawn into a group’s sound, and to hear SUCH a resonance from just two musicians in studio…Let’s just leave it at “I’m really impressed with Beach House’s music and I can’t recommend them more”.

With showcases at SXSW, Austin City Limits, Coachella, (and Conan) Beach House has gained pretty well everyone’s attention. Hand Picked by Animal Collective and Portishead for the All Tomorrow’s Parties and the ATP I’ll Be Your Mirror festivals, respectively, Beach House also spent 2010 as one of the opening acts for Vampire Weekend’s 2010 tour. There are even reports that Jay-Z and Beyonce have been spotted at their performances.
Safe to say I’m late to the party, but what does that really mean in the “Internet-Age” anyway.

Check out ‘Space Song’ by Beach House from the first of their two(!) 2015 releases, Depression Cherry on the Straw Boss Spotifly playlist.
